Children's Ministry (0-12)

We highly value children's ministry at Littlehampton Baptist, seeking to encourage our children to become mature disciples of Christ. Our desire is for our children to develop a thorough understanding of the Bible and the ability to apply God's truths to their lives through lessons that are meaningful, innovative and fun.

Lauren, our children's ministry worker, feels blessed to have many passionate volunteers who cherish the opportunity to sow into the lives of our children, believing Proverbs 22:6, which says, "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it."

Serving in this ministry, we are constantly reminded of what our children can teach us, just as Jesus said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you'll never enter the kingdom of heaven."(Matthew 18:3)

Our children's ministry caters to:

  • Creche/Preschool: 0 - 4 years
  • Primary: Reception - Year 4
  • Pre-Teen: Year 5 - Year 8

Our ministry also extends beyond Sunday mornings to include events like picnics, movie nights, sleepovers and church family camp. These events give children and parents the opportunity to build relationships and a greater sense of community.

Child Safe Policy

In line with the Baptist Churches of South Australia and Littlehampton Baptist's policy for working with people under the age of 18, it is required that all staff and volunteers have a National Police Clearance and CACET training.

To register for training and to apply for Police Clearance please click here.

(Section 25 of the Child Protection Policy states, "It is the responsibility of each church to identify and ensure that all Pastors, Staff, Elders, Board Members, Governance team members as well as ALL (workers) who serve in the area of children's ministry undergo a National Police Clearance check every three years and maintain appropriate records.")
